In case you didn't know, newborn sessions are my favorite favorite favorite thing in the whole wide world. Add in a momma who completely supports me geeking out about props and wraps and who even brings a a few gorgeous ones of her own, a baby with the most beautiful skin who was a perfect model, and a super cute and sweet family, and...well...I was in heaven!
Baby Josephine was just five days old when I met her for our session and just the sweetest, most beautiful thing! We spent some time getting pictures of the whole family and Josephine with her big brother, Christos, before focusing on individuals of this precious angel. She was sooooo good! If you've worked with me on a newborn session, you know that I structure things in order of increasing challenge. Shots on baby's back are easiest, working up to shots in the bucket and then unswaddled and posed with the wraps around baby, showcasing their little hands and feet. Even more challenging than that are shots on the poser, as they require a deep sleep, which can be hard to sustain when you are moving them and changing their positions. She rocked almost all of my wishlist and I think we got the most variety of poses from her that I've gotten from any little one so far! And cherry on top, we were able to incorporate the rings of her great-great-grandmother, who Josephine is named after.
Dominique, Christian, Christos, and Josephine, I loved meeting your family! Thank you for choosing me to capture this special time! It was such a special day for me and I hope it was for you too!
